______________ first of all, I know that you didn’t come here to get SOLD, and I am not going to be doing that and as old-fashioned as it might sound, even if we don’t do business – right now my job is to help. I want to discuss YOUR website needs, find the BEST solutions and even give you some ideas that you might not have thought about.
Having said that, I DO want to get right into what you came here for, but talk to me:

I really do appreciate that input ____ but if I am being honest to get you a quote, we are going to need to talk about the number of pages and any functionality that you are going to want/need on the website.
Have you either jotted down, thought about what those pages need to be whether its on a yellow pad or a Word doc; have you considered what you want those pages to be?

OK _______ so let me just first of all say that I would be shocked if you told me that yeah you’d written everything and you got all the pages you need. let me just ask a question or kind of make this statement but what do you think all of the websites that show up on the first page of Google when somebody does a search for roofing companies near me in and around the ________ area what do you think they all have in common? What they all have in common is they’re not $900 websites. These other companies that you’re going to be reached out to or they’re going to reach out to you they’re going to be quoting you $900 dude that is expensive as heck for a website that’s not going to ever make your phone ring. That’s expensive. What I’m going to tell you is all of those websites also have in common is that somebody like me told them “here’s what you need” you need these pages… you need to cover all your different services and then we have to build all that out and that’s going to be a bigger website than the “baby” websites that they’re going to be talking to you about. That’s why you need somebody like us. So, saying that you know I can tell you right now I’ve done this for 30 years and I don’t pull figures out of thin air. So, I can tell you that a decent ________ website in any area would be no less than $3,000 and in truth that’s not going to move the needle that much. What you are really going to need as far as all the websites that are on the first page of Google would all be in excess of $10,000 – $12,000. Now somewhere between 3K and 12K is where I hope you’re prepared to be able to fit into. So, what I need to hear from you is where in that range do you need to be? And I don’t care if it’s on the lower end, I will still tell you what we can do initially and also teach you how to do more with it yourself. The bottom line is you need to be somewhere in between those two numbers, and I need to know what that is so that I can start telling you what all these pages need to be. And if you are not even in that range, that’s ok, just tell me where you need to be and I will see if there is anything that we can do.

We have been in web design for 29 years now – longer than there’s been a Google – and we have built so MANY _________ websites all over the United States. I can tell you that a good website should have the CORE content pages like an engaging HOME PAGE with maybe some movement or video or high rez image sliders and good Call-to-action to get people in touch with you. Most would have an ABOUT US or OUR STORY page where you can share a little about the company/service and maybe MEET OUR TEAM, etc. You should probably include a REVIEWS page that will obviously grow the longer you’re in business, and then a robust SERVICES page. We’d want to get some good text from you about each service and collaborate on high rez imagery that we can even provide at NO COST to you. Doing something like that could be inexpensive. Depending on your budget, I will tell you that the BEST ___________ websites tend to BUILD OUT those services pages to be ____________, _____________, ____________ and that would make Google tend to rank the site and get you traffic. That said, I can tell you that to do the site I KNOW you actually want, will be around $____________.
Obviously, if you don’t have that to spend, then I’d be glad to hear what you can spend and I’ll see if there’s something we can deliver that will get you up and running and working towards success. We DO have some entry packages that are more template or theme based and they still look great – just not custom, per se.
Can you share where you’d be comfortable in terms of budget?
